What's great

Actual Plan is a scalable project management tool that is perfect for a small development team or a large studio. My team used it for creating and assigning tasks across departments, from the art team to the web and game developers. We could import and assign tasks in-bulk to speed up production, and create groups of tasks and subtasks intuitively. The software supports different views to understand what progress has been made. You can switch between a task board, a nested list of tasks, timeline views, and views of each department organized by the people working on them. This is the tool to go to if you need to put together a detailed production report for your boss, and allows streamlining the time spent managing production trackers so that your team can focus instead on making a quality product.

What needs improvement

Actual Plan is adding features regularly! Since I started using it many of the features I requested have been added! including functionality to support bug tracking! I'm excited to see this product grow, and to use it in other parts of my development workflow!

vs Alternatives

Actual Plan is easily to pick up and use in the same day. Compared to expensive alternatives with confusing interfaces and a difficult learning curve (you know which softwares I am talking about), Actual Plan made an immediate difference in our workflow. There are many options to learn what features it offers, with the helpful onboarding tutorials and Planny, the website chat that answered all my questions and even provided direct links to where I could find what I needed.

What's great

Actual Plan is an absolute powerhouse for project management, especially if your team relies heavily on Agile methodologies. The ability to customize workflows, create detailed Kanban and Scrum boards, and track every single issue or bug through its lifecycle is unmatched.

What needs improvement

The learning curve is definitely steep. Because Actual Plan is so incredibly customizable, the initial setup and administration can be overwhelming for new users.
