👋 Hello Product Hunt! I am super excited to introduce Collective Laboratories to the Product Hunt community. We are on a mission to shed the shame of hair loss with globally sourced, nature-derived products to bring you the best in scalp and hair care. Combining proven science and traditional botanical remedies, we are dedicated to developing clean and effective solutions to save your scalp and strands – regardless of age, gender, and ethnicity. 💬 For me - hair loss is VERY personal. My struggles with hair loss began after the birth of my first child, Eli, and then continued after I had my second child, Ruby. My hair mostly returned but was never quite the same. Then, almost 5 years ago, I suffered a stroke. The physical symptoms of the stroke, resulting emotional stress, and a combination of prescribed medications brought my hair loss back with a vengeance. While my doctors said to not worry about the loss -- and to use products with harsh chemicals like minoxidil and finasteride -- I just could not do it. I had elevated concerns about interactions due to stroke medications. So, I made countless trips to drug stores and consulted with experts - but was left feeling lost, confused, and convinced that there was no safe, effective, and natural solution to help me save my hair. Thankfully, I am the daughter of two Pakistani immigrants. So I called in reinforcements -- my family! I found myself using traditional Ayurvedic recipes from my Pakistani family and friends -- instead of products that were full of harsh chemicals -- to grow my hair back. And guess what they worked! As an experienced operator, with a problem to solve, I set out on a journey to find a hair growth solution that was safe & effective. ​​This personal journey led me to start talking with people who had experienced hair loss -- and that is how I met my co-founders. We all shared our experiences — and tried each others' remedies — and they ALL worked. We knew we were on to something….and we are ready to get this out for you all to try :) ✅ We have taken a lot of care not to include harsh chemicals in our formulations. Our ingredients are included in our formulations for a reason — each has properties which lend themselves to superior scalp health, follicle function, and growth promotion. Our topical products are sulfate-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and vegan. We also believe in supporting a healthy and sustainable future for all. From the way we source ingredients, to testing our products - our social, economic, and environmental impact is top-of-mind.
