The STAR feedback and red flag callouts look genuinely useful, not just generic fluff. One thing that would take this further for me would be the option to record video of yourself answering and have the AI flag filler words, pacing, or eye contact issues, since a lot of interview coaching overlooks the delivery side. Could be a paid add-on so it doesn't bloat the core flow.
@ceylansavcan Really glad the STAR feedback and red flag callouts are landing well, that's exactly the depth we were going for so it means a lot to hear it doesn't feel generic.
Your point on delivery is spot on. Verbal content is only half the battle, and most AI interview tools completely ignore how you actually come across. We already have voice mode built in where the AI listens to your spoken answers and picks up on pacing, filler words, and fluency as part of the feedback. But you're pushing us further, and rightfully so.
Video analysis covering eye contact, body language, and facial presence is something we're actively exploring as a next step. Your framing of it as a paid add-on that doesn't clutter the core flow is honestly exactly how we'd approach it too. Keep it optional, keep it clean.
Thanks for the thoughtful breakdown, this is the kind of feedback that shapes what we build next.
One thing that would really help is letting us upload a sample job posting and then preview a few example questions before the actual interview starts. It would ease that first minute of nerves and make the whole practice session feel way less like walking in blind.
@cafersxhm
Thanks for the feedback and great news, this is actually already live in Ace the Interview!
When starting a mock interview, you can paste the job description directly into the app alongside your resume upload. Our AI combines both to understand exactly what the role requires and how your background maps to it, then generates questions tailored specifically to that position and your experience level. No more generic questions every practice session is built around the actual job you're targeting.
This way you walk into the session already knowing the focus areas, and the questions feel much closer to what a real interviewer for that specific role would ask.
Would love to hear what else would make the experience feel more natural and less nerve-wracking for you!
Have you considered adding a "company culture fit" round that pulls in values or recent news from the target company? That would make the practice sessions feel way more realistic and help candidates prep for the softer side of interviews, not just the technical questions.
@eymen4ufh Great suggestion, and you're absolutely right that cultural fit is one of the most underrated parts of interview prep! We've actually already built a country/regional culture fit round, when you set up a mock interview, you can select your target country and the AI adapts its expectations, communication style, and soft-skill emphasis accordingly (e.g. directness in Germany vs. relationship-building in the Middle East).
Company-specific culture fit, pulling in a company's actual values, recent news, and employer brand; is exactly where we're headed next. The goal is to let you paste a company URL or name and have the AI tailor the entire session around that company's culture, not just the role. It's in the pipeline and something we're genuinely excited about building.
Thanks for the push. Feedback like this helps us prioritize the right things!
Honestly the STAR feedback was super specific to what I actually said, which kind of surprised me. Wish I had this before my last round of interviews, would have saved me a lot of guessing.
