Hi Product Hunt! 👋 We’re excited to share the launch of Accountable, a mobile sobriety app designed to help people quit drinking, take a break, or cut back - all without pressure or judgment. We're a small team from Australia who built this after seeing how many people wanted a more modern, flexible approach to changing their relationship with alcohol. While alcohol tracking apps aren't new, we kept running into two recurring issues when speaking to prospects in our early research: 🔹 Most apps focus on people with serious drinking problems - but many casual or social drinkers also want to build healthier habits, and those needs often go unmet. 🔹 Many apps tend to feel bloated. We found 15+ features in some leading apps, many of which were disconnected, buried in submenus, or just added noise. People were asking for something simpler and more intentional. So we built Accountable to be a fresh, streamlined experience that still delivers meaningful support. Features include: ✅ A flexible Tracker that adapts to your goal whether that's quitting for good, taking a break (like Dry July), or just drinking less. The Tracker operates through once-a-day check-ins and shows users insights for their unique journey (money saved, calories avoided, motivational quotes - amongst others) ✅ An AI Coach (Amy) to keep you motivated. Amy has contextual knowledge of your goal and tracking history and can offer real-time guidance / support whenever needed ✅ A Community feature that allows users to engage with one another (we've already seen users share wins, tips and ask for advice) ✅ A mindful onboarding flow to help you reflect, not feel judged and offers insights from Day 0 (based on your current baseline / habits) ✅ A clean, distraction-free interface with full Dark Mode support Accountable is available on both iOS and Android.
