I’m Caleb, creator of 4ToSpeak!

I love learning languages and have tried several apps over the last few years, but always hit a wall—they were either expensive ($20–$50/month) or slow and ineffective.

I used Duolingo for about 150 days straight, but even with that streak, I still couldn’t speak much Spanish. I was trapped in passive loops: memorizing isolated vocabulary without context or learning unnatural phrases. So over the last 1.5 years, I tried different systems and finally found a system that actually works.

4ToSpeak uses an active 4-step practice engine:

1. Decoding: You are given a sentence in your target language (e.g., French) and unscramble English words to decipher the exact structure.
2. Encoding: The inverse of step one—translating your active thoughts from English back into your target language.
3. Listening: You listen to native audio in context and type out the translation to train your ear.
4. Speaking: Hit record and practice speaking the sentence out loud from day one.

I've been using this approach for French, and it has helped build my speaking confidence and vocabulary recall faster than any other tool I have used.
