For over seven years, I've run Native Builders — a construction and design company operating across six cities in Nepal, from Kathmandu to Dhangadi. In that time, I've drafted in AutoCAD, walked hundreds of sites, chased down material deliveries, and sat through more budget reviews than I can count. But if you'd asked me what actually ran our company day to day, the honest answer wasn't any of that. It was Google Sheets. Excel files emailed back and forth. WhatsApp groups where a foreman's photo of cracked shuttering would get buried under fifty other messages by lunchtime. Paper progress reports that made it to the office days after the work was done — if they made it at all. I don't think Native Builders is unusual here. Talk to almost any construction company in Nepal, and you'll hear some version of the same story: real, skilled, hardworking teams running their business on tools that were never built for construction in the first place. The gap I kept running into Over the years, I looked at plenty of construction software. Most of it fell into one of two camps. Either it was generic project-management software with construction terminology bolted on, built by people who'd never stood on a site during monsoon season. Or it was enterprise-grade ERP — powerful, but priced and designed for companies far larger than most Nepali builders, with none of the day-to-day realities of local procurement, site conditions, or how a foreman actually reports progress. What I kept wanting was something built the other way around: starting from the actual problems on our sites — material tracking, BOQ and estimation, procurement visibility, cost control, progress reporting — and only then becoming software. That's the idea behind Tripura Soft. Introducing Tripura Soft Tripura Soft is a Nepal-based technology company I founded to build practical software for construction and engineering businesses — starting with the problems I know best, because I've lived them at Native Builders. Our flagship product is 360Build, a construction ERP and project management platform designed to bring planning, estimation, procurement, materials, cost tracking, site reporting, and project dashboards into one connected system — instead of five disconnected ones. The name reflects the goal: 360-degree visibility into a construction business, from the first estimate to project handover. Built with people who understand both sides Software for construction only works if it's built by people who understand construction and people who understand software. On the technology side, I'm working with Krishna Neupane, whose engineering background spans hospitality and infrastructure technology, and Samikshya Basnet, whose frontend development work is shaping how the platform actually feels to use on a busy site or in a small back office. My job in this is to keep bringing the real-world questions to the table: What does a site engineer actually need to log a daily report in under two minutes? What happens when a material request needs approval and the person who approves it is three hours away on another site? Those are the questions I want 360Build to answer well before anything else. Where we're headed Right now, our focus is narrow and deliberate: get 360Build right for construction companies in Nepal, where we understand the workflows, the constraints, and the people. From there, our vision is to grow into India and the broader Asian market, and eventually further — but that's a horizon we're working toward, not a claim we're making today. I'd rather build something that genuinely works for a mid-sized contractor in Pokhara or Hetauda than chase a bigger story before we've earned it. Why I'm sharing this I've spent years being the person frustrated by the gap between how construction actually works and the tools available to manage it. Building Tripura Soft is my attempt to close that gap — not from a boardroom, but from the same spreadsheets, site visits, and WhatsApp chaos that anyone running a construction business in Nepal will recognize immediately.
