Yolk doesn't solve anything. It's more toy than utility.
We built Yolk for people to care a bit less and mess around with friends.

1. Yolk is a social app
2. If you don't feel like inviting friends to try Yolk it's probably not for you (which is totally fine ✌️)

We designed Yolk to be more like a social toy than an app with a clear utility. 🪀✌️

We set out to build something that feels a bit less serious. For people to play around with the glitchiness of the AI camera. Just looking foolish as the people around them have no idea why they're making weird faces haha 🟠😅
Love trying new consumer apps, the latest one I tried was Lapse and totally get what you said about inviting friends. I only have 2 friends on Lapse and while it was really fun to upload, I became bored after a while because no one was on there. I'm curious, consumer social is notoriously hard, what are your plans on GTM. I have seen a lot of social apps take off among students in schools. Do you have any particular demographics in mind that you are reaching out to? thanks and will definitely be trying this out today :D
@pamsny first of all thanks for giving us a go, it sounds like a small thing, but it really means a lot when people take the time to try out our app. 😌
GTM, yes it's hard. And getting harder everyday as people's attention spans are getting so short!
For starters we're looking to launch across multiple different channels, basically a blend of TT, TG groups, & nano-influencers. All focused on a younger target audience as the older people get the harder it is to get them to download a new app (esp a social app!)
After that we want to take a breather to see where Yolk sticks and double down on the targeting + channels that we see work best.
