Hey hunters! I’ve wanted to make a small, fun and free project recently so I built a word game! Wordsweeper is an addictive wordle inspired word guessing game based on letter distance. The lower the score, the closer your guess. Scores for each guess are added until you win the game by guessing the correct word. Get the word in as few guesses as possible and join the leaderboard. Wordsweeper is also a PWA so you can play on mobile! I’ll be hanging around in the comments and on twitter all day so let me know what you think Thanks for your support, see you on the leaderboard! congratulations on the launch of wordsweeper, spencer. the idea of integrating letter distance into the scoring is intriguing. have there been any particular word patterns or strategies that players have found most effective in achieving lower scores?

@mashy luck of the draw I guess! Some words are definitely easier than others, especially when you get a hint that reveals a less common letter like Z or X, that definitely helps narrow it down quickly. More common words seem to be harder to guess, like words ending in -ED because there's a lot of these words so you can go round in circles for a long time before you start narrowing it down, but that's what makes it fun for me!
