Hi Product Hunt! 😺 Being an entrepreneur can feel lonely. πŸ’β€β™€οΈ As a woman, it is even more the case. Two years ago, I was struggling to find fellow female makers to get in touch with. I created a group on Telegram and reached out to the few ones I knew from Twitter. Women Make was born. Today we are a community of 450+ members from all around the 🌏 world, made of entrepreneurs, makers, developers, marketers, designers, and a bunch of other creative people. Women Make is now enriched with a forum, which allows us to have a permanent platform that completes the live chat on Telegram. Women Make is a place to: πŸ‘‹ find other women makers πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» share what you’re working on 🀝 help each other out ❓ ask / answer questions πŸ’¬ start a discussion, share what’s on your mind πŸ’ͺ support each other πŸ—£ get feedback πŸ† celebrate wins together Although I’m pretty happy with the result, I have lots of other ideas to implement! Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear any feedback you may have. ❀️ A big thank you to @alyssaxuu for the awesome gif she made for the launch, @nfoxnyc for creating a wonderful place for this community on Instagram, as well as all the Women Make supporters. On a side note, Women Make is free, but if you feel generous you can support it on Patreon. If you're a company, you can also be a sponsor.

@marie_dm_ wow already a couple years, happy to see this launched here! excited what will come in 2020 for WM!
@graeme_fulton Almost! In 2 months and half πŸ˜‰ Thank you for your long time support Graeme!
@alyssaxuu @nfoxnyc @marie_dm_ Wow! finally is launched! Well done. Women Makers is among the most brightest people who is very creative and talented in the world! Community is so friendly and of course good vibe! Thank you Marie for creating it.
@alyssaxuu @nfoxnyc @fajarsiddiq Wow, thank you Fajar! πŸ’™
@marie_dm_ Very cool! I've also found it difficult to find other female entrepreneurs outside of in-person events like MicroConf. Thank you for making this!
Seeing the moderation, effort and care Marie puts into the community, makes you reconsider your standards on what an online community is capable of and should be! If you're a woman in tech or maker of things, needless to say, I highly recommend to *definitely* join WM, you'd know why as soon as you join and the friendliest people greet you to get to know you! You'll see from people of all levels from senior coders to beginner designers and senior project managers, from artists and animators to startup founders, and of course makers, an incubator manager brainstorming, people discussing anything from nature, cooking, to deeply philosophical discussions and psychology. You'd think using tools like Slack, Discord or whatever is important, but if WomenMake was using pigeons transferring messages, it'd still be the best community I've been part of (Yes I'm one of the few men in fellow women's community) There are women sharing their daily stories, answering technical questions, asking for advice and people congratulating each other small and big wins. People helping with your landing page to giving you emotional support to go through the hardest times.

@morajabi OMG I don't know what to say Mo! 😭 You've been a long time, active member of this community and I think you are the living proof that everyone can get along and respect each other, whatever the gender. You truly are a good person and I'm glad you are a part of this community. Also, you really made me laugh with the pigeon thing πŸ˜‚
Congrats on the launch @marie_dm_! Women Make is a great place to be. It's the only community I feel like everything and everyone aligns with the values it's built upon. I really appreciate your work and engagement to keep it that way. Love to see Women Make grow!
