This app was born out of a van on the coast of Australia. My partner and I spent a year exploring the incredible shoreline, and we were constantly frustrated by one thing: finding and logging our underwater adventures was a complete mess. We were stitching together info from blogs, PDFs, and local dive shops, and our "logbook" was a scattered collection of notes and photos. We looked at the existing apps and saw a bigger problem. The two giants in the diving world, PADI and SSI, have their own apps. But what if you're certified by both? Or you're a freediver? Or just a snorkeler on vacation? Your logbook is effectively held hostage by your certification agency. We believe your adventures should be independent. The ocean belongs to everyone, not a single brand. So, we built Wikibubbles to be the independent, all-in-one companion for every ocean lover. It’s the app we wished we had in that van. It brings three key things together: 🗺️ A Global Map of Spots: Discover thousands of community-vetted snorkeling, freediving, and scuba sites. No more guesswork. 🌤️ Live "Divability" Conditions: Our most powerful feature. We don't just show you weather; we tell you if a spot is actually good to dive right now, based on live swell, wind, and tide data. ✍️ A Beautiful, Visual Logbook: Finally, a logbook designed for the digital age. Add photos, track your stats, and build a shareable story of your underwater life. We're a tiny two-person team and have poured our hearts into this. We'd be thrilled to hear what the Product Hunt community thinks.
