Hey everyone,
Adam here.
The idea I had behind WhatsUpDirect was to create a way to send messages to people via WhatsApp without having to add their number to my contact list. There are times when I only really need to message someone once or twice, and then never again, so there’s no point in making them a contact. Delivery drivers, for example. WhatsUpDirect makes it possible to send a quick message to your delivery driver via WhatsApp without clogging up your phone, and it’s free!
To use it just put in the number (with the country code) and click “Message now”. Confirm the number by clicking “Continue to chat”, and then you can start messaging.
Let me know what you think.

@adamadams This is great! I personally find it tedious having to save mobile numbers to my contacts. This is fantastic. Congrats on the launch!

I don't get it you built a product around this url address https://wa.me/
Why should people use your service rather than typing the url I shared above ?
What is the plan to monetize this ?
@ben_ismail_wassim Hey Ben, thanks for your thought. The tool simply makes it easy to copy and paste the number and it will handle most of the formatting like deleting unnecessary spaces, parenthesizes, and dashes between numbers etc, and provide a ready to use Wa Me link. Furthermore, many people use it because they use Whatsapp on computers, so if they need to contact someone on Whatsapp, they can copy the number f and paste it into WhatsUpDirect and that will generate a ready to use link. Regarding the monetization question question, I built this tool to use it myself, I don't really have a plan to monetize it. I hope this helps.
@sonalidoval Thank you so much for your great feedback, Sonali. I appreciate your support!

Not working for me on Safari (WhatsApp website 404 for deeplink URL).
I built this same thing a few years ago, check out the correct deeplink syntax: https://BigBalli.com/wa
@bigballi Hi Giacomo, I appreciate your feedback. It looks like Wa Me link now does not work if the number starts with 00 instead of +.
I will fix this soon. Cheers
