Walling gives you a better way to organize and refine your ideas and thoughts. Unlike linear documents, with your ideas side by side, Walling empowers you to step back and get a high level understanding of what you're working on.

I think this is perfectly named and feel compelled to use it but I’m not sure why.

Thanks @aaronoleary for the hunt. Hello Product hunters, Elmasry here from Walling. Over the past year I've been trying to build a tool that's easy and flexible to use to help you organize and document ideas. Whether you're working on a project, researching a topic or writing an article, you can create a Wall to organize and refine your ideas and thoughts and eventually get a visual overview of your notes side by side and you can refer back to that wall when you start the actual work. Walling was made to be used by anyone without feeling overwhelmed, whether you are a designer, a developer, a project manager, a writer or even a non-tech. The tool was also designed to be very flexible but still looks organized and not cluttered. Please use the following coupon code 03C14F4D for %50 discount on the annual plan, the code is valid for the next 24 hrs only. I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback or questions!

@elmasryahmed Something I wanted to suggest is to give a free version with limited functionalities. Although, you can observe what users do after the 7-day trial, maybe for your use-case it works. But some of us want to use something like this for simple reasons, and may not open it on a daily - let alone - weekly basis. Honestly, with so many monthly payments I already have, $4 may not seem a lot, but it is to me personally. I'de then rather use something like Notion - it allows me to achieve similar layouts for free. Adding a limited free version might keep someone interested. For businesses you can of course charge more :) Best

@owenfar1 I hear you but I hope people realize that relatively big companies can afford to offer a free plan especially those who are funded. Please feel free to DM on twitter @ahmedelmasry and I'd be happy to send you a good discount on the annual plan :)

I've used Walling for a few projects already, it's been especially helpful for brainstorming sessions that would have otherwise just been lots of post-it notes on a wall. Cant wait to see the platform evolve @elmasryahmed!

@aymericg @ruiparada Milanote is an amazing tool mostly for designers. The experience on Walling is different, it was made to be used by designers, developers, project managers, writers or even non-techs. The tool was also designed to be very flexible but still looks organized and not cluttered.

@aymericg @ruiparada @elmasryahmed It's totally possible to use Milanote for developers and project managers, if not writers or anyone else, to be honest – it seems a lot more flexible than Walling as you can link cards with arrows, nest boards inside each other, and arrange your cards on screen with snapping without being tied to a rigid grid. There are some templates for those use cases too.

Got the annual subscription after a few minutes. It's a flawlessly executed idea in a space that I think many apps over complicate in the wrong areas. Mobile app is apparently in the works but the mobile experience is good enough in the meantime
