Hey Product Hunt! πŸ‘‹ Thanks for checking out Views 4! It's a complete revision of my old app, The Views News, designed to be simpler and smarter. So what makes this news and podcast player app different from others? It's all built upon its founding mission: to help you stay updated in our fast moving world. This means showing you the news you want to read, based on your interests, as efficiently as possible. πŸ“° News Features πŸ—žοΈ: - Shows you the trending headlines in your country 🌎 - Recommends news articles from trustworthy sources based on your interests πŸ˜‡ - Summarizes news articles using advanced algorithms for fast content digestion πŸš„ - Explore more of the news split into 6 major categories 6️⃣ - Bookmark articles for offline reading πŸ”– Podcast Features πŸŽ™οΈ: - Adjust the playback speed for your optimal listening rate 🎧 - Set a sleep time if you want to fall asleep to your favorite podcast 😴 - Favorite your favorite podcasts for quick and easy access 🌟 - Download episodes on the go for offline listening πŸ“₯ BONUS πŸŽ‰: - An advanced NLP-based search πŸ” - Jim Mode for only positive news πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ - Gorgeous UI and UX 🀩 - Customizable color themes and fonts 🌈 - No Account Creation πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ - No Ads πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ - Synced across all your Apple Devices πŸ–₯️ - A companion Google Assistant action πŸ€ͺ This app ships on April 27 as a unified universal purchase. This means that for one price, you get the iPhone, iPad, (ο£ΏTV inbound), ο£Ώ Watch, and Mac app. πŸ€‘ I'm very active on Twitter (@Sai_K1065) and have continued to work on future versions of this app so if you suggest a change or recommend a feature, there's a high chance it'll get implemented! I want to hear what you all, the talented Product Hunt community, has to say about Views. Feedback, questions, appreciations, and even constructive criticism all are welcome. That's why I'll be giving away 10 free copies of this app to a random selection of people who comment. Hope to hear from you! Stay Safe!! 😁
Sorry it's exclusively Apple πŸ˜…. However do try and check out the Google Assistant action titled Views Voice. It's available on Android
Hello Sai, Good to see your app is back on Product Hunt! I've had a look at your website and you've got useful information and a very nice design showing off Views 4! Looks like you've thought and developed the app quite thoroughly. The screenshots of Views 4 look very nice. The text on the Apple Store and Product Hunt is clear and concise. Combined with the screenshots you get a full understanding of the product. I like how you’re presenting it and what the app is offering, whilst combining different news source mediums. Very interested to get to try it out and see how it is on both Mac and iPhone / iPad / Watch! Well done, great work!
@lukedench Thanks for the kind words! Hope you enjoy this app as much as I've enjoyed making it on April 27! And feel free to reach out with any suggestions for improvements!
Looks great! Now I’m using the Microsoft news app but, even though it has a nice interface, I miss the iOS clean look that you have in your app
@miguel_039 Thanks for the kind words! Yup the problem with Microsoft News, Google News, and even Apple News for that matter is they want to bombard you with a bunch of information which can lead to a feeling of stress. My goal is to avoid this and make reading the news a pleasant experience again. Hope you switch over! 😁
I have been looking for such an app for a long time. I am curious about the result. thanks.
This would be a great addition on Setapp
@aditya_gupta8 Definitely! I've looked over at Setapp and would love to have my app on there. I'm releasing version 4.1 in a month or so and it'll make the Mac app even more Mac-like than what it is now. After that release, I'll get into touch with Setapp. Thanks for the suggestion!
