Hey PH, šŸ‘‹ Baptiste here, Vidjet's cofounder. We've been working on Vidjet over the last year, and we're thrilled to launch exclusively on Product Hunt today! About us Leo and I started to build Vidjet early 2020. After we got our MVP, we quitted our jobs and went full time into it. We truly think video is changing the way to browse on websites nowadays. It creates authentic touchpoints along the customer journey, and make visitors engaged. Social networks are doing great at leveraging the video power, but websites are running late. We also think conventional popup are annoying and live-streaming takes too many resources. Our mission is to leverage video to make websites as entertaining as social medias. What is it about? Vidjet is a video player for websites, with a popup format. It enables websites owners to segment videos on certain pages and trigger them at the best moment of the customer journey. Who is it for? Any online business can benefit from our solution. E-Commerce, service websites, SaaS platforms, etc. It enables any web interface to add videos in a few clicks. What do our users love? āž”ļø Benefits: - Increase on-site engagement - Explain better products and services - Improve conversion rate āž”ļø Perks of Vidjet: - Easy integration on any website - The simplest way to reuse your videos on your website - Segment it like a popup, play it like a video - A dashboard to track conversions and engagement Some use cases - Product video: showcase and explain your products - Service video: give more info about your service - Welcome video: say "hi" to your new visitors and tell about your company - Thank You video: thank visitors who convert (eg: purchase product, fill a form, etc) - Announcement video: announce a sale, update on latest info, etc Where do I get video from? You can reuse content from social medias, or record a video yourself. Here are our recommendations: - Short videos: between 20s and 50s - Show real people - Device: a smartphone is fine - Sound: no need for a mic if the smartphone is situated at less than 2 meters - Light and background: natural light with a plain background Live examples šŸ‘€ 1) Pousse Pousse: https://pousse-pousse.com/collec... ⇒ triggered after 5 seconds 2) Madison Braids: https://madisonbraids.com/collec... ⇒ triggered after 20% scroll šŸ‘Š The deal We'd like to offer Product Hunt a few special deals for our launch and in exchange for your valuable feedback: - 1st - 5th customer: Lifetime 50% OFF on all plans, including 2 weeks free-trial - 5th onwards: Lifetime 20% OFF on all plans, including 2 weeks free-trial šŸ™ We'd love to get some feedback, and I'm happy to answer any questions! — Special thanks to @chrismessina for hunting us! Materials from creators and free tools have been used for this PH launch. Special thanks to Icon8, Juno Jo, Joseph Gonzalez, Curology, Michael Dam.

Over the past few months I've been recommending Vidjet to everyone and anyone with an ecommerce website šŸ˜‚ Such a powerful tool when used correctly, and really simple to setup. Congrats on the ProductHunt launch! šŸ™Œ
Baptiste N
@johnathan_bell1 Thank you for the kind words! We'd love to see a Vidjet video on the LicenceOne website 😃
Christian Schierenbeck
This looks really cool! We are working on an educational game whose mechanics are not so easy to grok. Maybe we should use Vidjet to embed a tutorial video into our website. I'll discuss it with the team. In any case, congratulations for your launch and good luck!!
Baptiste N
@christian_schierenbeck one of our user is a learning platform for kids, and they did exactly the same. So far, they increased their activation rate by 5+%. Another interesting metric: 60% of people who have watched a video ended completing the - long - onboarding. Thanks for the kind words!!
Christian Schierenbeck
@baptiste_ncls That's great to hear, thank you very much for sharing! Regarding the onboarding completion rate: What had been the rate before they introduced the video, do you happen to know?
Baptiste N
@christian_schierenbeck that's a good question! In a few words, less than 20% of users were completing the onboarding all at once. This number increased to 40%, but it is also because they removed one painful step from their onboarding form. So we can't attribute all the credits to Vidjet.
Christian Schierenbeck
@baptiste_ncls Great, thank you for the clarification!

Vytas Dargis
@baptiste_ncls congrats!
Baptiste N
@vytas_dargis thanks a lot! And you can congrats @leo_petit and @el_pol as well :)
Zahra Deen
Love that it's non-invasive on the page but still catches your eye. I'm going to recommend it to the ecommerce company I worked for previously!
Baptiste N
Thanks a lot @zahra_deen! Really appreciate you recommend us to your ex-company :) Let me know if you need any other info!
Thomas McKinlay
Very cool idea! As annoying as popups are, this definitely makes them more interesting (and way more engaging I'd expect!) :D P.S.: Love the Madison Braids example with the testimonial, seamless and surprisingly natural-feeling
Baptiste N
@thomas_mckinlay1 more engaging indeed. Vidjet's videos have an average play rate of 14% and an average click on CTA of 6%. Happy to hear that! Thanks for the support :)
Thomas McKinlay
@baptiste_ncls Oh cool, not bad at all!
Baptiste N
Noor Anwar
This is such a cool idea, and a no brainer! Everyone loves watching video and consumes it so much more than just plain text popups. This can have a huge impact on not just ecommerce marketing, but many types of websites. Good luck!
Baptiste N
@noor_anwar no need more explanations! It seems like you caught Vidjet's purpose quite fast :) Thanks for the kind words!
