Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Ishak, creator of vibe80. vibe80 is a open-source tool that lets you build software with AI agents directly from your web browser or mobile. It connects to your public/private repo and allow you to control coding agents remotely. The idea came from a frustration: AI coding tools are powerful, but they often lock you inside proprietary interfaces and locking you to a specific interface. Instead of being locked inside a proprietary IDE, vibe80 provides a structured environment where AI agents can interact with your repository: reading code, editing files, running commands, and collaborating with you in real time. It currently supports Codex (OpenAI) and Claude Code (Anthropic), with the ability to switch models and providers within the same development session. Some key ideas behind vibe80: • AI agents working directly on Git repos • Parallel development tracks using Git worktrees (each with its own agent) • Full repository control from the web UI: file explorer, text editor, terminal, git diff & history • Sandboxed execution using Linux security primitives (Landlock, seccomp, isolated users) • Multi-device workflow with Android and iOS companion apps The goal is to provide a transparent and controllable way to collaborate with AI coding agents while keeping developers in control of their repositories and infrastructure. vibe80 is also an implementation of an experimental framework I’ve been exploring called The Maze, a model for agentic software development (http://themazeframework.io/).
