I’m Aaron. I graduated in December 2024 with a degree in Computer Science, concentrating in Game Programming. Like many recent graduates, I faced a challenging job market in the early part of 2025. However, in October, I decided to stop searching for jobs and start building something new.
Over the past few months, I have been refining my skills and applying high-performance game programming principles to tackle a common issue: overpriced, "per-site" monitoring fees.
I'm excited to introduce UptimePulse. It’s a professional-grade, self-hosted monitoring suite designed for developers and freelancers who want to take control of their data and avoid the "SaaS tax."
Here’s what’s new in the 2.0 update:
- **Hybrid Auto-Discovery**: Optimized logic to automatically find network assets.
- **Snapshot on Failure**: Detailed logs that help you understand exactly what went wrong.
- **Whois & SSL Tracking**: Proactive health checks for your entire domain portfolio.
As a solo developer, this project is 100% bootstrapped. My goal is to provide a practical alternative to expensive trackers and demonstrate what’s possible when you apply game-engine efficiency to web tools.
