I am Oben from beautiful Madrid, working as a software development engineer. During my entire professional life, I always worked in enterprise level companies but this has never prevented me from working on my side projects in my free time. Today is a big milestone for me to share my product with you.

This is the Phase-I of Up Ninja, which took 22 part time days of mine to build it from scratch starting from the first commit. There are a lot of improvements in my list for customer's benefit and I will be working on the service consistently to improve it day by day.

Hey, monitoring area is a highly contested area but your user interface and being able to collecting necessary features all-in-one application is making Up Ninja unique (or better than other tools I tried before). As a question, how the global monitoring works, is it random or something else? Congrats and wish you luck, I started using it and giving it a chance! 👍👏
@fallame_app Hi Paulin, it is great to hear that Up Ninja is realised by other people. I was excited before the release and feeling very happy because of the Product Hunt family's organic support.
Global Latency feature works like that: Once you create your monitor, Up Ninja selects random location for the first shot. After that, we define a list of region definition for your monitor. You can imagine it as a playlist. So we decide the country and city list and this list is used in a cyclic way during 1 hour. After 1 hour this list is shuffled. By this way, the graphics are more reliable because we give a shot to the countries and cities with an equal rate. If you want to remove any region, it is also possible.
For example if you want to make all requests from one single region, you can go to settings of the project and set the location to this only region. By this way Up Ninja will use the same region for false alarm's secondary check and keep requesting every minute from same location.

There are many uptime monitors in the industry but when I checked it, being affordable but also being reliable sounds very good to me. I added with a couple of websites already! Additionally I liked the user interface.

Congratulations on your launch Oben! It is a very good designed user interface, easy to use. I have been using UptimeRobot since a couple of years and one thing it lacks is being able to receive down messages which are not real, mostly false. Making the secondary check sounds interesting and a good feature to my opinion.
Also, I really liked the "badge" thing. It seems very basic idea but it is not. There are various types of badges and being able to show mini badges in github repo or some wiki documents for the services is really cool idea!

@karacago Thank you Gokhan for valuable comment! Yes, actually the badge idea was coming from a pain of mine while I was using other tools. When I decided to create my tool, I decided to put the badge feature haha!
For the reliability: You have 1 minute metrics and let's say you are given permission to 3 different regions. (E.g.: Nurnberg, Tokyo and Seattle).
In the minute first, Up Ninja sends the request from Nurnberg and let's say this request is failed. So instantly (without waiting the next 1 minute), Up Ninja makes the second request from one of the available region (except the failed one, randomly selected). Let's say Up Ninja made the request from Tokyo and realised that everything is fine. It did not create the alarm. This one prohibited the customer from false alarm. But what if a condition like your service is failing only for one specific region? One minute later, Up Ninja will make the request from Tokyo, not from Nurnberg. So let's say Tokyo is okay. Next minute from Seattle. Let's say Seattle is also fine. And one minute later Up Ninja will make the request from again, Nurnberg. If Nurnberg fails again, Up Ninja checks if Nurnberg had ever failed in 15 minutes timeline (This value is chosen in purpose, it is more than the max number of regions we have so at least one datapoint will be existing for the beginning of round robin).
If Nurnberg is failing for the second time, it wont make secondary check. It will send the down alarm immediately. So, Up Ninja has two features to avoid false alarms but also catch the real true alarms :)
