Maria Hagsten
Hi there, Product Hunt πŸ‘‹βœ¨ I’m Maria, one of the founders of Unstuck. I’m beyond thrilled to introduce you to a project that's close to my heart and designed to help people overcome anxiety. Before we dive into the app's features, let me share the story that inspired this project. ✍️ MY STORY Anxiety used to be a constant presence, blocking me from living my life fully. Then, I discovered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and everything changed. CBT empowered me to take control of my anxiety and transform my life. It was a game-changer.Β However, with $200 per therapy session, it came with a heavy financial burden, and I knew there had to be a more accessible solution β€” not just for me but for everyone. πŸ’‘Β THE SOLUTION So, along with Calvin Woo and Stephanie Yu β€” my software engineering partner and our clinical scientist friend β€” we embarked on a journey to create Unstuck. It’s a journaling tool based on CBT, which is the gold standard of anxiety treatment. We’ve meticulously crafted it to be functional, empowering, and accessible!Β It's been my trusty sidekick on my own mental health journey β€” helping me turn my persistent anxiety into a sporadic visitor. And it is my great hope that it can help others like me overcome anxiety one journal entry at a time. πŸ“±πŸ’»Β THE FEATURES With repeated use, CBT journaling helps you train your brain to overcome anxiety. For this, Unstuck offers two carefully crafted journal types based on CBT principles: - The Thought Journal β€” Examine your thoughts, challenge unhelpful patterns, and find new perspectives. - The Savoring Journal β€” Boosts wellness by helping you appreciate positive moments and train your mind to have a more positive outlook. Together, they work in unison to help you improve your well-being. Plus, additional features further help support your mental health journey: - A weekly assessment to track your mental health. - Insights that show your progress and highlight areas of improvement. - Journaling goals and motivational smart reminders. - And Unstuck works on all devices, so you can always access relief and support wherever you go. We are so excited to share Unstuck with you all and we look forward to hearing from the Product Hunt community to get feedback. With gratitude, Maria

Woah, amazing branding and design work. The light gradients, and minimal/clean design is really really appealing! Since you mentioned feedback in launch notes, my only small feedback is adding social's to the 'about us' page. I am not a potential user for this, but would love to tag your team into conversations around this space in the future. Side question - Would love to hear what your team plans to do to expand post-launch? Best of luck, and congrats on the launch!
Maria Hagsten
@esus Thank you so much for the feedback. As the designer, your words warm my heart. Great point about the socials on the about page. We’ll add it in right away. Post-launch, we’re looking into adding support for exposure therapy and AI driven insights.

We frequently lose ourselves with unwanted mood swings, feelings or anxious thougths because of a fast pace of today's world. Unstuck is great that it helps me streamline and journal my feelings at the moment that can't pull me in bad mood. I highly recommend Unstuck if you want to balance your swings πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

@johnberg Thank you so much! It's great to hear that you're finding it helpful πŸ™Œ
Congratulations on launching Unstuck, Maria! It's inspiring to see a tool designed to make CBT more accessible and combat anxiety. How often are the weekly assessments updated to reflect user progress? Wishing you all the best as Unstuck helps people on their mental health journeys.
Maria Hagsten
@parul0_0 Thank you so much, Parul, for your motivational words! The user is prompted to take the assessment once a week and they'll see the results right away.

Congratulations on your launch! The more resources we have for mental health, the better. I'm wondering, what makes your app different from other CBT based apps? :)
Maria Hagsten
@crystal_hirtle Thank you for your congratulations and for your interest in Unstuck! We'd love to hear what you like it. Here’s how we think Unstuck differs from the competition: 1) Cross-Platform Accessibility: Unstuck is designed to be accessible across various platforms, ensuring that you can seamlessly integrate it into your daily routine, whether you’re on your phone, tablet, or computer. 2) User-Centric Experience: We understand that the effectiveness of mental health tools hinges on their ease of use, clarity, and in instilling a sense of calm. We’ve designed Unstuck to be extremely intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for anyone to get started with CBT journaling, even if they’re new to the concept. Our clean and streamlined interface is tailored to facilitate self-reflection and thought analysis β€” helping people go deep without distractions. 3) Science-Based: What we build in Unstuck is motivated by science. For example, instead of a traditional gratitude journal, we offer a savoring journaling that the latest research demonstrates is more effective. Instead of generic mood trackers, we believe users should be measuring their progress with validated assessments like the PHQ-ADS (Patient Health Questionnaire for Anxiety and Depression).
