Browser extension to upscale or stretch any video on the web

Upscale or stretch any video on the web, to make it look great on UltraWide screens.

This extension resolves aspect ratio incompatibility with UltraWide screens. You may play 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio videos and they will be properly shown on 21:9 aspect ratio screens, without black bars on the edges.

Hello Product Hunters 👋 ! I'm a developer of this extension. This is my first browser extension with cross-browser capability in mind. I posted my Medium blog post above, it's still a draft - as it's pending review on HackerNoon, but I'll replace the link with non-draft as soon as it's approved. In the mean time, I'll post here some differences from the other alternatives: • Tiny extension file size • Minimal popup design • Requires only storage permission to read/write the settings • Single cross-browser extension • Relies on a single CSS property object-fit • Doesn't use JavaScript for the video width/height calculations • Has zero dependencies • Works with video streaming services (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, Netflix, etc.) • Works with embedded videos (e.g. LaraCasts, GoRails, etc.) • Works with multiple videos on the same page (e.g Adam Wathan's Talks)
