TypeLab

Adaptive typing course - lessons, games, progress tracking

TypeLab is an online typing course for children and teens. It offers 60 structured lessons with adaptive training that targets individual weak spots. Learners practice through interactive lessons, a digital tutor, and typing games like Gem Dash, Lingo, an airplane pilot game, and song-based typing. Progress is tracked over time, supports 24 languages, and runs fully in the browser for home and classroom use.

I built TypeLab because I noticed how many children and teens struggle with typing, even though they use computers every day. Most typing tools felt either too boring, too shallow, or not structured enough to really teach proper skills. The goal with TypeLab was to create a course that feels approachable and fun, but still works like a real curriculum. Over time it evolved into a full course with adaptive lessons, games, tutor guidance, and clear progress tracking, so learners can actually see improvement instead of just guessing. I’d love to hear feedback from parents, teachers, and anyone who’s worked on educational tools — especially what matters most when teaching kids online.
