Three.do

Add reminders in 3 seconds or less 🔔⚡

4.3/5
About

Three.do is a revolutionary reminders app that redefines how you remember small tasks.

To add a reminder, tap three hints: the who, the what, and the when. This is faster than typing, faster than OK Google, is perfectly enough to remember the task in short term, and is something you’ll quickly learn to do instinctively.

Usually all todo apps have a really tedious process of task and todo adding. This is why I'm not using them, mostly. In Three.do that's totally not the case. You can create a simple todo in a blink of an eye! Or even faster, I guess. Totally recommended.

Pros:

Super fast

I’m not big fan of Early access, that was widely promoted by Steam. This app is just it. It is more or less proof of concept. The USP is the way you add tasks — you click on tiles. You end up with the very same basic list of todo’s offered by tons of other apps. And some of them do that fairly better. There are ways to make waves in this category, but this is not it (at least with current state). Novelty of adding tasks wears of quickly, and becomes cumbersome within a day. There are no unique features, like delegation, position based alerts, cal or email integration, AI... anything really.

But you sure can already buy fairly expensive lifetime licence and pay for features that might not ever see the light of the day. Todoist needed years and team of people to make solid app — and this is solo dev that is more likely to crumble than succeeded. I personally feel, that this thing wont be around in a year, considering the todo app space saturation, willingness of android people to pay and lack of solid plan besides promises.

Good luck nevertheless, I’d love to be proven wrong.

Pros:

Novelty

Cons:

Try using it as real todo app and you fail within a day

Hey Pierre! Thanks for your input. And I’d love to prove you wrong! 😉 I totally agree that this is more of an early access, an idea validation, rather than a finished product. Still, I consider Product Hunt a community of early adopters who like playing with new ideas and can tolerate if the product is still rough around the edges. That’s why I aimed for launching here first. Secondly, my app is not in any way a replacement of a conventional to-do app like Todoist. As you said, try using it for a day as a planner and you'll end up with the list of generic "me / do sth" tasks. Three.do has a very specific use case: help you quickly remember the tasks in the moment of your biggest busyness — when you're in the zone and cannot afford to lose the focus to record the task properly, but you know that if you don't do that you'll forget. It doesn't try to be a planner, a to-do list, or anything like the apps you've used to rely on. It's certainly not for everybody. Yet still, the app's only out for a day, and there has already been a lot of positive feedback from the people who needed an app like this. As for the features, there will be position based alerts, there will be delegation eventually. Cal or email integration are out of scope, but sharing to Three.do from other apps and saving from Three.do to calendar will be added very soon. As for AI — it's not needed here. Actually, it's the opposite: the app can only be quick to use when you learn to tap tiles mechanically, knowing they are always in their place. Would you like if AI reordered your desktop shortcuts or your phone apps all the time, based on how it thinks they should be, rather than how YOU used them to be? Same applies here. When Google Calendar shows me suggestions, I have to read all of them because I never know where the one I need shall be — at that point it's faster to just type, really. I pinky swear that at least the promised Pro features I'll deliver. This project is all in for me — I don't think I can ever return to a 9-5 coding job again. What I can promise is that no matter what happens to the project, I won’t abandon my early supporters. P.S. You said there were no unique features. Well, delegation, position based alerts, cal or email integration, AI are not unique features — every major todo app squeezes them in. My unique feature is a unique mechanic of adding a reminder, something that none of the numerous other apps thought of doing (even though the pattern is not new — e.g. it's widely used in cafe/restaurant POS software).

Why not available in Brazil?

Hey Leo! Sorry for that. The app was disabled for distribution in Brazil. Should be all fixed now. For what it's worth, I think leaving a bad review without even trying the app is unfair. Things like this hurt creators more than they bring joy to the inflictors.

Really an interesting concept when it comes to setting reminders. Reminders never has too many variables and so makes sense.

Eliminates Redundancy(Single format)

Easy for the brain to sense because of singular format
