Hey Product Hunters! 👋 It's your friendly neighborhood Brogrammer Phil👨🏼‍💻 I'm as excited as Peter Parker when he took his Spider-Man suit out of the Training Wheels Protocol. Let me introduce: The Threadinator 🧵™ - a tool that adds numbering to your threads on 𝕏 with one click! Why? Because I like it when threads on 𝕏 are numbered. And not only with an index but also with the total count, so I know how long this thread is going to be. So, I'd write a thread on 𝕏 and I'd find myself adding "1/10" to the first post and then "2/10" to the second post and so on. That's was so painful. And even worse: If I then deleted or added a post back in, I had to go and correct aaaall those numbers again manually. NO MORE! The Threadinator 🧵™ takes care of that automatically. Here’s how it works: 1/3: Install the Chrome extension, 2/3: Click on the super nice looking button at the top of your thread editor 3/3: Observe how the index and the total count are added to every post in your thread! And if you add/remove a post from a thread, simply click the button again to re-number everything instantly! @ihuzaifashoukat Thanks! I scratched my own itch. And when I read 𝕏, I like to see thread numbered. Next steps are to grow it and may be expand on to Threads from Meta.

The Threadinator for 𝕏 sounds like a time-saver for anyone who posts threads regularly! How does it handle re-numbering if a post gets edited or the thread is shared with others? Does it update automatically or require a manual click each time?

@hritik_choudhary So, the Threadinator only ever numbers posts before they are posted. That's a limitation on the side of 𝕏. In 𝕏 you can only edit posts that have no responses yet. And since a thread is, by definition, a series of responses to a post, 𝕏 doesn't allow you to edit those posts in a thread. And by consequence, the Threadinator cannot number those posts because, well, they are not editable. And sharing a post with others doesn't have any effect on the numbering. The numbering is injected like that you, the user, would've written. Therefore, yes, the numbering will show up when you share your posts (thread) with others.
