The AM Squabble

A weekly newsletter where two friends talk about the UK news

A weekly newsletter focused on the UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง, which is a twist on the classic "he said, she said". ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ We take the latest news stories, cutting edge facts, and useful trending pop culture moments, and interlace it all with our banter and disagreements.

I'm a Londoner who thinks I'm funnier than I am, and Meridyth is an American expat who puts up with my bad jokes. We've been working together and friends for a number of years, and we love to discuss the latest news and disagreeing with each other (in equal amounts.) ๐Ÿ’Œ We keep up with the latest news and provide a summary of the key stories for the week, but with our own twist and personality. We highlight two to three stories each week where we disagree and we hash it out! Filled with links to interesting stories, research, and latest pop culture trends. We wanted to create a newsletter for the perfect water-cooler conversations (and arguments.) ๐Ÿ’กWhere did we get the inspiration? - Meridyth has been a long term subscriber to theSkimm, and loves the regular updates and summaries of the latest stories. - I've always enjoyed podcasts discussing ethical conundrums and debates, such as The Morality of Everyday Things. We wanted to give a UK focused summary on the weekly news, but with our own spin and banter around how we like to disagree! โš™๏ธWhat tools do we use? Over our careers (Meridyth is a CMO, and I'm a CPO) we've used a selection of different tools, and this has been another exciting opportunity to use something fresh and new. We have been loving beehiiv to do most the heavily lifting, but behind the scenes we also have Notion running to keep us on track (saving the arguments for the content!) I can't wait to hear what you think!๐Ÿ‘‚
