👋 Hey Product Hunt! I’m Sadam, a CS student working in Data Science. I built Synth Data Studio because I kept running into the same data bottleneck: needing high-quality datasets to train models or perform analysis, but legally/ethically not being able to use the raw production data. I tried existing solutions, but most were "black box" enterprise tools. So I spent the last few months building the tool I wanted to use myself, entirely on a student budget: ☁️ Hosting: AWS Educate (free tier) 🌐 Domain: GitHub Student Pack 💸 Total Cost: $0 (Just code) What it actually does: Instant Schema Mode: You define the columns (Name, SSN, Credit Card), and it generates 1 million rows in the browser. ML Training Mode: If you have a small CSV, it learns the patterns and generates a larger, privacy-safe version. Privacy Reports: It gives you a PDF proving the data is statistically similar but contains no real user records. It’s completely open source (MIT License). Even if you don't use my hosted version, you can grab the code and run it locally with Docker. Quick Note: Since I’m running on free student credits, the demo server might be a bit slow if everyone clicks "Generate" at once! 😅 Self-hosting is the best way to test the full speed. Feedback is super welcome. Thanks for checking it out!
