Honestly, the "feature" I'm most proud of isn't really a "feature", it's the fact that we got our product up and running! As an 18-year-old student entrepreneur, this was my FIRST time doing all of this, and there were so many moments where I thought it was over, that I couldn't start my own business. We've used a database of over 30,000 articles to train Sourcer AI, and a key factor of our training was to make sure we are training our models on REPUTABLE sources. We are still just releasing our beta stage though, so we will be working on improving the accuracy of our product every day. With additional funding, we can work with research institutions to help base our fact-checker on the most factual information possible.

Hey Alex, congrats on the launch. This is definitely something we need more of, but how are you going to convince users that you (and your sources) are trustworthy? So many people will just believe what they want to believe, unfortunately.

How users are going to trust if we are accurate is something that's been on my mind since the day I started this company. Convincing users of our trustworthiness is about demonstrating our commitment to transparency, accuracy, and integrity consistently. We intend to do that by being transparent about how we fact-check articles, by engaging in the community and being open to community feedback, and by taking an educational approach with our product. We look to grow and improve our product alongside our users. As for people believing what they want to believe, this is a totally justified point, but I believe there are a lot of people out there still that are not a fan of this politically polarized world we live in that just want an accurate way to verify information.

@kyrylosilin Hey Kyrylo, awesome question! Our political bias and reputability rating uses a multifaceted approach when it comes to fact-checking. We use a mixture of a large language model and Chat GPT that is trained on our database of over 30,000 + news articles (though we did not highlight specific sources to cross-reference with, we had ideas for that in mind, but we didn't want to be breaking any commercial use laws.) In the end, our analysis takes into consideration the text of the article, the credibility of the author, the citations present (or lack thereof), the overall reputability of the source, and more! These models deeply analyze the text to determine the tone of the article, the content being presented, the credibility of the sources brought up, the reputability of the source as a whole, and a lot more.
