Hello everyone 👋 @varunbln and I are super excited to be launched our first product hunt launch today! ☀️ With Solarpunk we are trying to improve the lifes of the next generation of farmers by helping them deploy solar projects on their lands quicker. The duo usage of agricultural land and solar deployment is called agrivoltaics and its the future of farming. Not only does it increase yield (80% energy + 80% agriculture = up to 160% yield) but studies have shown that solar panels create a better microclimate to protect plants from heavy weather or extreme sunlight. After moving back to the country-side we have seen first-hand how unreliable traditional agriculture has become and that the transition to a solarpunk-farm is as important as the transition from horse to tractor for farming. We built Solarpunk to reduce the burden in every step: - reduce bureaucracy and planning - find project planning partners - receive funding and financing - all within one simple platform Please share this launch with people you know that own lands–or are about to inherit some acres. Every deployed solar park can help farmers generate additional income and fight climate change. ☀️

Hey everyone! ☀️Over the past few months, I’ve been building Solarpunk—a platform designed to simplify and streamline the process of deploying solar farms using technology, reducing hurdles like bureaucracy, project planning, and financing. By centralizing these steps into a single platform, my goal as a developer has been to remove friction in deploying solar for both solar installers and farmers, creating an end-to-end platform that makes solar deployments effortless. When I first spoke to @peer_rich about the prospect of working on Solarpunk, I was immediately excited to know that the work I'd be doing could play a part in making the future of farming more sustainable and resilient. It has been a pleasure to work with @peer_rich and @esther_lita, and being able to help farmers generate additional income while also combating climate change has been a rewarding challenge. Working on Solarpunk is more than just solving technical problems; it’s about building something meaningful to help shape a future where renewable energy and agriculture coexist harmoniously for the benefit of both people and the planet.☀️
