Snapshot Site is a powerful API that allows you to capture full-page, high-resolution screenshots of any website with pixel-perfect accuracy. Simply send a URL to the API to generate a complete snapshot — not just the visible area — covering entire web pages, scrolling content, landing pages, blogs, news, and more. Designed for developers, designers, marketers, and journalists, Snapshot Site makes it easy to integrate web page capture into your applications, workflows, and automation tools.

Why did we build Snapshot Site? We built Snapshot Site out of frustration with existing tools — either too slow, too limited (only viewport screenshots), or requiring heavy setup. We wanted a developer-friendly, API-first solution to capture full-page, high-resolution screenshots reliably and fast. It started as an internal tool for automating visual QA, tracking landing page changes, and archiving dynamic content. When we realized others had the same pain points, we decided to launch it as a public API. ⸻ What’s new and unique? • ⚡ Speed-first architecture — Optimized Chrome headless rendering in isolated environments for fast responses. • 📱 True full-page capture, including scrolling areas, sticky elements, and dynamic content. • 🧩 Simple API integration — Just one URL call, with support for headers, delays, device emulation, custom resolutions, and more. • 🌐 Edge-ready — Optimized for CDN delivery and serverless use cases. • 🔒 Built with privacy in mind — No storage unless requested, no tracking. Most alternatives are either Chrome extensions, SaaS-only tools with GUIs, or limited free-tier APIs. We focused on speed, control, and developer usability. ⸻ What are we most proud of? • Seeing Snapshot Site used in ways we didn’t expect: legal evidence capture, SEO monitoring, A/B testing QA, and even archiving government sites. • Building something that “just works” with minimal friction. • Keeping it fast and scalable without sacrificing screenshot quality or detail.
