Hi Product Hunt! I'm Max, the creator of SmartStow.
The Problem: This year, my wife and I moved out of our apartment and spent the year travelling. As we packed for our trips, we ended up spending whole days searching through our pile of boxes, trying to find specific items we needed. Some items were never found, and we had to spend hundreds of dollars to rebuy them. We weren't alone—stats show 47% of people lose items worth than $500 per move.
I built SmartStow to stop "where did I put that?" panic and prevent rebuying.
The Solution: Voice-first indexing. SmartStow is the worlds first voice-first inventory app. Rather than interrupting my packing flow to pick up a pen or laptop, I needed an a tool to automatically log what I packed while I packed.
You just say aloud what you are packing and where ("I'm packing my 'kitchen box 2': peeler, can opener, ..."), SmartStow then transcribes, indexes, and organizes everything you said into a searchable database.
Why not just use generic AI? LLMs are great listeners, but they hallucinate facts and often forget. SmartStow uses AI for input, but structured software for storage.
