Super excited (and a little nervous 😅) to share Silver Pennies with you all! This started from a personal pain point, I was terrible at budgeting. I had no clue how much I was spending or where my money was going. Logging into multiple bank accounts, downloading statements, or maintaining a spreadsheet... it just never stuck. So I thought, "Wait, all my bank alerts already come to my inbox... what if I just used that?" That’s how Silver Pennies was born.
It’s a simple AI agent that reads only a Gmail label you set up (called "Transaction Alerts") and quietly tracks your credits, debits, and surfaces useful financial insights. No need to link your bank. No full inbox access. Just the emails you label.
🪙 No spreadsheets
🪙 No manual tracking
🪙 Just a clearer picture of where your money’s going
I'm around all day and happy to answer any questions, feedback, or wild ideas you’ve got. Would love to hear how you’d use something like this and what you'd want to see next!
Thanks for checking it out 💛

Finally, a tool that helps me track my finances without giving access to my whole inbox. It reads only transaction alerts—super clean, private, and just what I needed 🙌
Thanks Suraj! Glad that you are enjoying it! Let me know if anything ✨

Just tried out Silver Pennies and I’m genuinely impressed! You nailed a real pain point here. The Gmail label idea is so smart and privacy-conscious. Great job, Priyanshu, excited to see where this goes next 🤞
Congratulations on the launch, and thanks for sharing Silver Pennies! 🎉 It's amazing to see a solution born from a real personal challenge. I love the idea of using email alerts to simplify budgeting without the need to link accounts. Wishing you lots of success and eager to see how it evolves! 💛

Great job creating this.
Few questions ?
Do we have feature for it to detect duplicate transactions ? For example if I label mails from my UPI application and bank, both will send mail with same amount. But only 1 should be considered.
The app would only request for access with Transaction alerts label but technically, would it have access to the whole inbox ?
Only 1 will be considered . If the timestamp of transaction is same along with the merchant, amount and debit/credit type the transaction gets automatically ignored.
Yep unfortunately yes. There was no way to get only the permission to read mail of just a particular label. But it’s against the privacy policy of Silver pennies to read any email other than that label.
Let me know if you have any feedback 🤗
