Hey @alexgrinman Can you tell us more about what you've built here? What was your inspiration for building it?
@jacqvon Sift is an app that can show you what other apps on your phone are doing. Sift can answer questions like: are apps tracking me even if I disable analytics? are apps malicious? are they connecting to strange urls? are they doing network activity in the background? Using push notifications, Sift shows you real-time network requests made by other apps. You can create rules to block urls like tracking sites, ads, etc. Use Sift to block any site you don't like for every app on your phone.
@jacqvon @alexgrinman - 'Im an L-plate webcreation Student' lets say....and this app definately sounds like a added security/management feature of the nocturnal kind....where it 'hunts down that which is hidden (and activated!!!) the dark!!! <3 very nice potential xx
This is most excellent. I’m fine with running it via Xcode, however I think you should have that notice with a well-illustrated guide right up top, perhaps made with GitHub pages. I think this tool can be helpful to a lot more technically inclined people than just iOS developers. Good luck!!
@dmitrizzle Thanks! Yes it's definitely on the list :)
Great job!! 😊 Will check it out Does It Support India?
@ayush_chandra You have to compile it from source -- so it will support any place :)
Is it only for iOS ?
@dibakarbala Looks that way. At least for now. I'm sure it would be easier to get up on the Play Store though. They're less rigid about what makes it into their app store.
