Servey mirrors your Mac to your iPhone and iPad with full mouse, keyboard, and a real terminal - hardware-accelerated on your network, private peer-to-peer anywhere else.
Remote Mac control from a phone is one of those things where the hard part isn't the connection, it's that a Mac UI assumes a pointer and a phone doesn't have one.
What's the interaction model — a literal trackpad surface, or something that adapts per app? I've used the literal version and it works right up until you need to hit something small, at which point you're doing surgery through a straw. Curious whether you took a position on that or left it general.
@ark_y_k We took a position on it: that is relative trackpad, not absolute touch. Tap-to-position is what creates the straw surgery, since your finger covers the thing you're aiming at. Moving a cursor instead means you can see the target, and pinch-to-zoom covers the genuinely tiny stuff that otherwise you won't be able to cover.
No per-app adaptation though, one model everywhere. Is there an app where you'd want it to behave differently? Hope to have you on it soon.
finally got my Mac to follow me to the couch without lag, the hardware acceleration actually makes a difference on my home network. terminal access from the ipad is a nice bonus too.
@lou_julian Thanks, Barbara! The local network path is the bit we're proudest of. Funny you mention the terminal; it started as a "nice bonus" on our roadmap and turned into the thing we use most in the times of AI and Agents.
