Hey, I'm Gustavo! I lived in Taiwan for three years and wanted to learn Chinese. However, I was disappointed with the existing dictionaries—they were either bloated or made flashcard creation unnecessarily difficult. So, together with my partner, who speaks Chinese and is an amazing designer, we set out to create a simple, minimalist dictionary that makes flashcard creation effortless while also providing words in context. We use a custom spaced repetition algorithm that efficiently schedules your reviews over time. More difficult words appear more frequently, while easier words are spaced out further. Since launching the app, I've learned thousands of words, and I truly believe it can be a powerful companion for your Chinese studies. Let me know what you think!
