Last year, I launched our customizable video player Splay. It was a work-in-progress and with feedback from the no-code dev community, we found a few features to make it even more useful. So, this year, we’ve added those ‘must-have’ features and we hope you guys make the most out of it. 1. Store. host and stream directly You can now upload videos directly on Sato and add it to the custom video players you create. 2. More ways to embed -Using Embed URL Most no-code website builders support embed URL and you can use our embed URL to embed the video player you built on Sato by simply copying the url from the video player page and pasting it where you want. -Using Embed code For devs using any no-code builder where embed url is not supported or if you are building your custom site, just copy the embed code snippet and paste it. Your Sato player will be embedded successfully. You can start using Sato for free and scale as you need. I am excited to embark on this journey with fellow product hunt community. Any feedback is appreciated.

Love this — I’ve always struggled to make embedded videos feel native to my site’s design. Tried Sato and finally got a player that actually matches my UI without hacking together code snippets. Such a clean solution.

Hi, Hey everyone! I’m the product designer behind Sato.

Over the past year, we kept seeing the same pain point repeated across creators, marketers, and founders:
Embedding videos on websites still feels unnecessarily complicated.
Most players are either too limited, too technical, or too expensive for what people actually need.

So we designed this tool with one clear goal:

Make a fully customizable HTML5 video player that anyone can set up in minutes — without code, without limits, without frustration.

We love to hear what you think about our product, Sato.

Your valuable feedback will help us improve Sato.

@abhishek_deb2 All your hardwork. Congratulations on launch

Vitaliy Mokosiy

@abhishek_deb2 The player looks real nice. Thanks for your work!

Hey, have you thought about expanding the pricing plans? I was thinking, maybe you could add one with a limit of 200-300 videos, and then a higher price of around 20-30$?
You know that there's quite much of churn rate on "Contact Sales" plan :)

A huge congratulations to the Sato team on a successful Product Hunt launch today! Hitting the front page is a testament to the product's immediate resonance and the clean execution of our launch strategy.

From a digital marketing perspective, Sato is a game-changer, and it clearly addresses a major friction point in the modern video player ecosystem.

@alekh_talukdar Wouldnt have been possible without you

Nice. I loved it.
What does Sato mean, by the way?

Porag Gogoi

@chilarai Our product was originally called Splay. But we faced some troubles getting into plugin marketplaces. So we ended up with Sato. Sato has various meanings, but the japanese version of it that translates to "village" struck a chord. We are a small tool trying to solve a very niche problem that our web design customers were constantly facing over the years. Very excited and humbled by the wide support we have recived just over a day. Our small village isnt as small as we thought. haha.

P.S. if you ever end up needing a customizable video player. Please feel free to get started. And whether you are on a

free plan or a paid plan, we are around for you. :)

Chilarai M

@porag_gogoi Brilliant name. And yeah, you are well placed in the market.
I'll give it a try sometime, for sure
