Why I Built SafeMove On an ordinary Friday afternoon, my father, a healthy 46-year-old director in a Fortune 100 company, had a stroke alone in his closed office. The office had surveillance cameras everywhere, but they were just passive recording devices. For three unconscious hours, no one noticed his distress. By the time a colleague found him, the window for most effective treatment had closed. As I sat in that hospital waiting room, watching my brilliant father struggle to form sentences, I kept thinking: "We have AI that can recognize faces and license plates—why can't it recognize when someone needs help?" The cameras saw everything, but understood nothing. That's when I committed to building SafeMove. I combined my background in computer vision, programming, security, and from all my technical certifications to create an AI that doesn't just see, but understands human distress. We trained our models on thousands of real-world falls, strokes, and accidents—focusing not just on the event, but the critical minutes before and after. Today, SafeMove does what those cameras couldn't: it recognizes the subtle signs of a stroke (facial drooping, imbalance, confusion), detects falls with 98.7% accuracy, and alerts responders in under 800 milliseconds.
