    Awful onboarding for businesses

    Due to a bug in their chat software, it is impossible to get an account. A conversation ensued over Twitter in which they absolutely flatly refuse to call or be called. Transferwise and Centtrip don't seem to have any problem providing a customer support number.

    Patrick Wills has never used this product.

I've recently become a fan. You transfer money to Revolut card, and wherever you travel you, when you pay with the card, they convert currency at the interbank exchange rates and take 0 fees for that. My bank charges 3% transaction fee if I pay in a different currency other than GBP. You can also use it for online payments as well. It is available worldwide.

I've been using Revolut for few months already - great for traveling. I hope they will make contactless (+ Apple Pay compatible) cards soon.

@marek Thanks! Contactless cards are on the horizon - hopefully by the New Year - we are also currently investigating Apple Pay.

Signed up for this recently before a trip to Germany. I changed my pin from the default a week or so before I left, went to pay for something in Germany and the pin was declined. Messaged support and after a *very* slow reply, was told that everything was fine. Went to pay again, tried the pin a couple more times and the card was blocked. Incredibly unreliable service and I don't plan on using the card again. I like the idea but it seems that actual usability of the card is hit and miss so I wouldn't recommend taking it as abroad as your only method of payment (which luckily I didn't).

I ordered my card 4 months ago but never received it. Referred several friends and also never got the 5 pounds referral gift except once. Tried loading my card and was not able to as their customer service said there are so many countries that you can't load your card from. Great idea. Love it but execution is not that well. But must admit the UI/UX is great!
