Always cool to see self hosted alternative to big and useful apps. "Install" link is broken, here (just point to `#` with no js action). Also, where are the sources of this open-source app? :) (github repos is empty but a readme)

@oelmekki Thanks for your comment. If you click Install button, you should see "Free & $9 AWS AMI coming soon (submitted for approval)". We have been bootstrapping this project for long time. So, we believe AWS AMI is one of good revenue options for us to pursue further. We've submitted 2 AMI flavors: 1. Micro - Free (Optimized for micro instance and so without ElasticSearch. Also EC2 micro instance is free for first 1-year) 2. Medium - $ 0.013/h We thought that AWS marketplace setup would take just 1 day, but unfortunately, it is going back and forth with them suggesting changes to descriptions, etc. Anyway, we hope to get it approved in 10 days max :)

Open Source ?? README reads as "Source code will be pushed once AWS AMI is ready for sale (One of our revenue options)" How would this work ?

This is a kanban board app that's a direct competitor to Trello. It's got a few features that Trello doesn't have, including the ability to instantly add cards and view multiple cards. Would be interested to know if it solves real pain points for any current Trello die-hards!

@riaface I don't quite get their "Instant Add Card" feature - it's slower than if you add the card the "Trello-way". Also, I find the Trello's UI much more intuitive. But it's refreshing to see on their comparison page (http://restya.com/board/comparis...), where there are a lot of features where Trello is better than Restyaboard, for example the user of polling instead of WebSockets. So they're not saying they're the best like most tools out there do, they're being upfront about their shortcomings. It certainly has potential, just needs a bit of polish, would love to see where it goes!

I think it's a great idea :)

@d4nyll @riaface 1. Instant Add Card - It is adding a card "quickly" to the board that you're not viewing. Think about the situation where you have multiple boards, you're looking at board X, but you have to add a quick card to board Y and prefer to stay in board X. 2. WebSocket - It is theoretically a good feature, but difficult to scale easily. Our focus is more into tech agnostic and easy-to-scale stack.

@riaface Thanks for posting to Product Hunt. We have been using trello for long time as some of our clients preferred it. From client point of view, it is easy to post/use, but for someone who manages it daily, it is quite difficult. 1. View multiple cards This is extremely necessary to manage. Some of us had to use trello's email notification as a workaround--so that we can view multiple comments at same time in Gmail. 2. Instant Add Card This is again a problem, when we had to use multiple boards and had to manage multiple clients. If we are viewing board X, but have to add a quick note/card in board Y, it is a pain. 3. Revisions In one occasion, one of our clients changed the requirement in final stage of delivery. We had to use trello email notification as a proof to explain him. Sometimes that doesn't even work as trello sends only "missing" notifications in email. 4. List layout Card/grid is "visibly" great; but difficult to "manage". List layout doubles productivity, especially when we sort items. 5. Offline We can't wait for internet connection. 6. Nested Comments This is again a huge pain to read comments. 7. Viewing attachments in one place We had to dig each cards one by one 8. Predefined workflow templates This is simple, but huge time saver. Though trello now adds default lists, it is still not very helpful. 9. Productivity beats Someone in HN said it is insane :) In our experience, in restricted environment, based on clients, we can adjust the mood of people working on it through these soothing beats.

One feature I wish Trello had was card-to-card linking. Love the open source approach here.

@parkeragee We link cards all the time - each one has its own URL - works like a champ.

Quick tip if the makers stop by : http://restya.com/board/comparis... please use green icon for the tick and red for the cross. More intuitive, and we'll see immediately the comparison. Thanks,

@jpvalery Yes, totally agree with this. It's a bit difficult right now to quickly scan and figure out what the differences are.
