@chrismessina You're right, this extends the Slack reminders functionality. There are 2 main additional features that would really help someone plan their day. 1. Reply Later supports multiple reminders which would allow someone to set aside communication time like we use to do to reply emails. For example, I have reminders set for 11:00, 2:30 and 6:00. I block 10 mins on my calendar accordingly to reply to all important messages between those times. Any important message I get during a meeting/deep work I save with a couple of clicks and reply to them all at once. This is not possible in Slackbot as their reminders is relative(20 mins, 1hr, 3hrs) that would not allow someone to plan time to reply to messages. 2. You can message the app and those messages will be saved for you as reminders. I use this to type out my agenda for team stand ups everyday at 11:00 and since my reminder is at the same time, It helps me remember to discuss the salient points. Again, sending a message is much simpler than using /commands for reminders on Slack. Fundamentally, the app improves the ease of use for reminders with pre-configuration and helps people plan their work on Slack.

Is it possible to add a custom emoji to a channel message/thread, which can then be added to a default reply later list, e.g. remind messages marked with X after 24 hours? Opening the menu and clicking it is taking too much time/clicks.

@leo_at_zapier Hi Lionel, It's not currently possible as Slack doesn't allow for that feature flow. I will do some research around making the process of saving messages easier and release updates to the app.

@akhil_varma2 well it is, but goes against their user agreement. Unfortunately not allowed to automate anything on a user account- only bot accounts. Falls under the term 'self botting' which isn't allowed.

One of the biggest challenges I have with work is Slack. Since we onboard our clients on slack too, it becomes a hassle putting reminders and remembering tasks. (For reference I am a part of 300+ slack channels most of which are customer facing). Amazing to see 'Reply Later' here. One of the best tools I have used. Waiting for upcoming improvements and iterations! Cheers!

Hello Slack users! A lot of our working lives revolve around Slack and we use it much as a task management tool as we use it for communication. Reply Later boosts your ability to easily convert messages into tasks (to be reminded later) and helps you plan your day. You can: 1. Set multiple reminders at your preferred times. 2. Save a message to reply later through the message shortcut. 3. We'll remind you of the message at your next scheduled reminder. 4. You can reply to the message through the Reply Now option or Snooze the reminder. 5. You can also save messages by sending a message in the Reply Later app messages tab. 6. Mark the reminder as Done to earn yourself a cookie 🍪 I've built this over a weekend, mostly for me a few of my team mates and it's been a great tool for us to be productive. I hope it will help some of you folks as well!

Looking forward to trying this! This is something I didn't realize I needed, but yes, I have five separate Slack workspaces and get DMs and channel messages on all of them. When I read the message, it disappears from the 'unread' area, but then when I want to reply later, I can never remember exactly where the message was. Congratulations on the launch!
