@chrismessina Great question and thanks for asking! We use two-step verification in the form of a mobile number and government ID matching a selfie. Both are very difficult to falsify. We consider ourselves different from Spareroom as we really try to hone in on the experience of renting with others rather than listing properties with convoluted bios.

@nik_a ah, but you don't vet people on personality or quality, just based on whether they have authenticated. Mobile numbers are pretty easy to fake, if you're sufficiently motivated. Re: Spareroom, I was confused because the title of your website is "Spareroom | Redwood.rent".

Exciting solution for the rental market! Tackling the challenges of skyrocketing rent prices and room scarcity in cities like London, (which I've personally experienced) is mandatory nowadays. its a cool idea but since its kinda social network to be used by people for a very short period of time (when searching for space), im not sure about its viral success. i might b completely wrong in thinking like that. congratulations on the launch šŸ‘
