I was a Java developer, backend stuff. I had pretty much zero experience with Android or iOS development. But using AI tools like Antigravity, Kiro, and a few other AI platforms, I managed to build this app from zero to one in about 2 months. It's an app that helps people break bad habits, and it also has an AI companion coaching feature built in.
It's already live on the iOS App Store, and we're currently waiting on Google Play review, hopefully it'll be approved soon.
Honestly, before AI existed, there's no way I could've pulled this off by myself. There's just too much to learn, new frameworks, new platforms, new tools, it would've taken forever. But now, with AI-assisted coding, I can just lean on my core software development experience from my Java days, work on it in my free time, and actually ship something real.
Gotta say, AI is making everything move so much faster.
Quick update: while promoting Reclaim, I've already started working on my next app called Flora Mind.
The core feature is simple: point your camera at any plant, and AI tells you everything about it. What it is, its health condition, how to take care of it, whether it's toxic, and other detailed info. It's for plant lovers, kids exploring nature, hikers, or really anyone curious about the plants around them.
But I'm still figuring out what other features to build around this core. If you had an app like this, what would you want? Would love any suggestions from the PH community!
