Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Antoine, the founder of RailLog. Super excited (and a bit nervous 😅) to finally launch here today!
What is RailLog? 🚆
RailLog is a “Flighty for trains” — an app that turns your train journeys into a beautiful digital passport.
It helps you:
Track trains in real time
Monitor delays & disruptions
Visualize routes on interactive maps
Measure your carbon footprint
Analyze your travel stats
Manage loyalty cards
And keep a full history of your rail life
All in one beautifully designed app for Europe & the US.
The Problem
I travel a lot by train across Europe and the US, and I always felt something was missing:
Rail apps focus on one trip at a time, not your whole journey history
No proper travel stats or insights
No clear way to see your environmental impact
Poor UX
Fragmented data across operators
And nothing comparable to what Flighty offers for flights
As a train lover and a data nerd, that was frustrating.
The Solution
So I built RailLog.
An app that treats train travel as a first-class experience:
📍 Real-time tracking & disruption monitoring (SNCF today, more coming)
🗺 Interactive journey maps
🌱 CO₂ footprint calculations (train vs car vs plane)
📊 Detailed personal statistics & records
🎟 Ticket scanning (manual + OCR)
💳 Loyalty card management
🏆 Social leaderboards
🔒 Private & secure (Firebase auth, private data, synced across devices)
Who it’s for 🎯
Daily commuters
Frequent train travelers
Rail enthusiasts
Eco-conscious travelers
And anyone who loves seeing their journeys as data + maps
I’d love your feedback ❤️
I’m building this solo and Product Hunt feedback means a lot:
What feature would make this a must-have for you?
What feels missing?
Would you use this for commuting, long trips, or both?
Thanks a lot for checking out RailLog — and happy to answer any questions!
