The first gas tool for artists & collectors to better understand gas fees by platform. Gas fees change, and are different depending on what you’re doing, where, and at what speed. You can use the 🐢 and 🐇 at the top to toggle the speed of gas you want to use.
Congrats on the launch! Huge fan of the team and project.
A lot of creators joining the space get surprised by how expensive it is to mint/sell NFTs so:
1. More price transparency is ✨
2. Let's bring that price down 🐾
?makers Do you have any plans for historic data/projections on prices and any other plans you can share about future development?
Thank you!
This is really helpful. A lot of times you just hear "gas" and think the fee is unanimously the same across all platforms but that's definitely not the case. ?makers how often is the gas fee updated?

I love this tool so much and am so grateful to the @tech0ptimist team for making it! I am an artist that entered the NFT space this year and this is one of the tools I have used and recommended most often to artists entering the space.
Since it came out I refer to it literally every time I consider minting and have shared it with many emerging artists friends who have found it extremely helpful. :)
The actual cost numbers are very helpful but I almost value the ability to have a snapshot of the different platforms and how they approach fees more. For a new creator it is incredibly hard to understand the actual fees involved for minting an NFT and to decide what platform to mint on; platforms tend to hide their fees and splits which makes it especially hard for new creators to navigate how to enter and exist in the space and the pros/cons of platforms.
I believe the ?makers also made a spreadsheet that lists all the platforms, their fees and 'ease of use' for creators - I'd love to see that live somewhere here on the same tool so it's more of a one-stop shop for how/where to mint and what to expect in terms of gas!
Thank you team for all your helpful content (and ur cute tweets) it is so appreciated!!
thank you Chris for hunting pumpmygas.xyz. at optimist we’re always thinking of ways to improve the lives of creators, and when Liz Hagelthorn came up with this idea, the team thought it was a complete no brainer. the site allows creators and collectors to see all the required steps involved for interacting with each platform, as well as the costs associated. bravo to Iain Nash for leading the dev work with Miguel Piedrafita, Nicoló Stewen, and Rory Hughes. and of course many thanks to Sergey Poydo from Wednesday Studios for the brilliant design. we’re always thinking of what tools to build next for creators in the NFT space, so hit us up with your ideas!
