  • Pros:

It is straightforward and powerful, and has lots of tutorials and learning resources straight from the developer's site

It has maybe too many windows for all its tools

Adobe photoshop is a great software but has become, over the years, a huge dinosaur. Obviously it has tons of feature, but in the real world of developers ho needs to create and change assets, pixelmator comes to the rescue!

Wow, that's a LONG product page. Well done though. Relevant: @liveink shared Sketch, a vector-based image editor a while back - http://www.producthunt.co/posts/162

A good, low-cost alternative to Photoshop. Interface is fairly intuitive, and performance seems pretty good. I'm a web and app developer that just needs to create custom header graphics with some text and images some times and Pixelmator works great for that.
