What do you think? …

Maciej
I built PhraseClip because, as a non-native English speaker, I often skipped unfamiliar words while reading online. Copy-pasting them into a separate translator created just enough friction that learning opportunities slipped away. By making translation effortless, I hope to turn everyday browsing into an easy vocabulary lesson. I’d love to know what you think—would this be useful to you?

@kielak2 PhraseClip makes vocabulary building part of everyday browsing – love that passive learning. Gave my support. Congrats on launch – I'm launching my product today too, feel free to check it out.

Nika

How many languages are supported?

Maciej

@busmark_w_nika
Currently as native language we support: English, Spanish, French, German, Polish and Swedish.
And as language you can learn: English, Spanish, French, German.

Nika

@kielak2 I think this is a solid starter pack, my reckoning is that people will also try something harder or "exotic" – like Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi.

Maciej Nowotka

@busmark_w_nika that’s a solid suggestion, thank you

Nika

@maktowon You are welcome! :) I am just following trends :D

Maciej

@busmark_w_nika

Adding new languages is pretty straightforward on our end. If there’s a specific pair you’d like, let me know and we can add it for you.

Supa Liu

This looks so much more efficient than my current workflow for dealing with non-native language websites.

Maciej Nowotka

@supa_l thank you, we tried our best to make it

what is your workflow and what apps are you using, we are thinking of a way to integrate with other apps?

Kay Kwak

Is it similar to DeepL?

Maciej Nowotka

@kay_arkain thanks for that question! Let me explain.

PhraseClip is not full blown translation tool — it is rather your web browser assistant that helps you to understand shorter phrases or words you may don’t know and it automatically saves it to your word bank.

It also features quizzes so you can practice saved phrases and improve your vocabulary by practicing daily.

Maciej

@kay_arkain
I looked into DeepL, and yes — some features are similar to their Chrome extension.

Farrukh Anwaar

This is awesome - PhraseClip makes it way easier to pick up new languages while just browsing the web. We just launched Mukh.1 too - AI agents to handle the boring work stuff. Take a peek!

Daad Kabbesh

Interesting concept! How does PhraseClip handle idiomatic expressions or contextual translations? Also, do saved phrases sync across devices or is it tied to a single browser?

Maciej Nowotka

@daad_kabbesh great question.

We are actively working on having a context of the word and the results are looking promising.

We have a dedicated web app for managing saved phrases so you don’t have to worry about loosing your phrases when switching to a different device.

The web app also features quizzes so you can actively learn from it.
