Hi, I'm the developer of Papery πŸ‘‹ I built this tool because I wanted a journal app that’s truly independent from any one company. After all, who wants to risk losing all their data if the company goes under? With Papery, you can: βœ… Download entries anytime in CSV format βœ… Download the source code and self-host it on your server This way, you always have the option to stop using Papery without losing your historical data. Here are features we haven't yet included at the moment: - Mobile apps - Image upload - Data import Lastly, if you're not sure if this tool is for you, please try our demo. It's available on our top page. Thanks for reading πŸ™

@uzu_yuya Papery sounds like a great tool for journaling with a strong focus on data independence and user control. I do have a question: Are there any limitations on the size or number of journal entries that can be exported as a CSV file?
Yuya Uzu
@miko_markovic11 Thanks for the comment! Yes, data independence is the key motivation of this. And no, there is no limitations on the size of the download. You can download it at anytime, with any amount.

@sejal_asnani Thank you for the comment!

@ena_gluhakovic Thank you for the message! I prioritized download and open-source feature because user's data ownership is my primary motivation to build Papery. I think it's better to build essential features first and nice-to-have features later.

I like emoji calendar, it's really cute! Mood tracker as well. Though no matter how much I tried, paper diary always wins for me. All the best guys, I'm sure you'll find your audience!
Yuya Uzu
@anastasiia_stepko Thanks! I understand that. Even for me, I always liked pen & paper over any diary apps out there. That's why I wanted to make something even better than pen & paper. I will try :)

congrats on the launch! love it! clean and simple... the only thing missing is a distraction-free mode that hides all the UI to focus on writing :)
Yuya Uzu
@max_kotin Thanks! I'm thinking about adding "another window" feature where the window shows the editing entry only. Hope to ship it soon!
Max Kotin
@uzu_yuya awesome! Meanwhile, I'm taking it for a ride as it is!

I've been on a search for a habit tracking app for a long time. This one looks really slick, the interface is so clean and distraction free. And the little detail about being able to export my own data in CSV format any time is just a cherry on the top. Thanks for making this!
Yuya Uzu
@trizo_za Thank you for the comment πŸ™ Hope it will be a good fit!

Papery seems like a solid journaling app that puts users in control of their data. The open-source nature and data export options provide much-needed peace of mind.
Yuya Uzu
@moon10 Yes, user control is our key :)
