Hey everyone 👋 Cameron here, maker of OPT-IMG. OPT-IMG came out of a frustration I kept running into on real sites. Image optimisation is one of those things everyone agrees matters, but it’s almost always skipped once a site grows. Filenames stay messy, alt text gets forgotten, and images quietly become the biggest performance bottleneck. What surprised me while building this was that the problem wasn’t a lack of tools. It was workflow. Compression lives in one place, filenames in another, alt text somewhere else, and the manual steps add just enough friction that it never gets done consistently. So instead of trying to invent a new SEO trick, I focused on removing that friction. OPT-IMG uses AI to handle filenames, alt text, and compression in one pass, so the basics happen by default rather than relying on discipline.
