Sup y'all -- It's been 7+ years since I had a new startup to share with Product Hunt and I couldn't be more excited. After selling Teachable, I dove deep into the world of personal finance and the tax code and realized 1) how no one really understands the system 2) how the system is stacked against you if you don't come from generational wealth And this problem was especially acute for the average Teachable customer - business owners, freelancers, consultants and independent workers who didn't have a full-time employer to set up a retirement account, health insurance etc. Most entrepreneurs are too busy worrying about their business to optimize their personal finances. This led us to start Ocho! Our goal with Ocho is to help business owners build wealth, and we're going to do it in two ways by building: 1 - The best personal finance education in the world 2 - Smart financial products to leverage the tax code to your benefit And today, we're excited to share our first product -- The Ocho Solo401k -- The Solo401k is the best retirement account for anyone self-employed since it allows you to: - invest in any asset class (startups, stocks etc) - get a tax deduction of $60K+ - make Roth contributions - compound tax-free!
