Numeracy

A SQL pad that gives you x-ray vision for your data

Numeracy is a lightweight SQL pad that gives you powerful querying and visualization for your database or data warehouse. Instead of a 20 row preview of your query results, Numeracy gives you an interactive table with automatic statistics about each column. This helps you iterate faster, spot errors, and understand your data at a deeper level.

Hi everyone, we're really excited to be launching on Product Hunt today! We started Numeracy because we thought working with data could be a lot more approachable and understandable than it is today. We spent over 2 years on research and development, but things didn't totally click until we combined what we developed with the power and flexibility of SQL. When we designed the experience around an easy-to-use SQL pad with a rich, interactive table for results, it turned it from a cool prototype into something that actually made teams more productive. There's still so much we want to work on, but we have enough people who love using it everyday that we felt it was time to open it up to the broader community. Check it out and if you have any questions/feedback/comments you can post here chat with us directly from the (?) icon on every page. Also because we're launching here, if you sign up using the Product Hunt link sometime in the next week you'll get 50% for the next 6 months in addition to the 14 day free trial. Thanks!

I've used Numeracy to perform ad-hoc data exploration on several different datasets and to collaborate with colleagues using the results of the explorations. The team is super responsive to feedback and support requests.

Pros:

If you're used to SQL and excel, you'll feel right at home. Sharing is easy and the queries are fast.

Cons:

There are lots of alternatives, but none quite like Numeracy. Only cons are tiny hiccups every now and then, but not show-stoppers.

Congrats on the launch! Great to see such a thoughtful detail orientated team take on this problem.
@anderson760 Thanks Joe, we're excited to bring a consumer product design and engineering sensibility to this area.

I'd love to have an on-prem version so we could use this at work!

Pros:

Very fast, slick interface

Cons:

No on-premise solution

The team behind this is top notch! Can't wait to see where they go with this.
@justin_tulloss thanks for the kind words Justin!
