Fully cross-platform, vendor-agnostic, markdown-based note-taking app. With NotesHub your notes truly belong to you and not tight to any particular vendor. All of your data is stored in Git repositories, so you can clone them and manage outside the app. In addition to notes, you can create Kanban boards and use them as a tool to visualize your work and maximize your efficiency. This will help you to organize your time, focus on what matters, and achieve more.
This is the 4th launch from NotesHub. View more

What do you think? …

Since the previous Product Hunt launch, many exciting new features have been added to NotesHub, many of which are a direct result of feedback from our users! The most exciting new addition is Whiteboards. Thanks to the Excalidraw library, which we integrated into the product, we are unlocking a new experience for our users. In addition to notes and Kanban boards, now you can create whiteboards with rich editing capabilities and store/edit them in SVG format for universal compatibility with other tools. You can read more about new features and fixes from the blog post here: https://about.noteshub.app/blog/... As always, we are looking for your feedback.

@alex_titarenko1 congratulations! Never thought much of note taking app. I use Obsidian and Apple's Notes, but this is making me think otherwise. Congratulations on the Github integration!

Thrilled to see the launch of NotesHub 3.3, the all-in-one note-taking app that fits my cross-platform work style! Can't wait to explore the Markdown options and the seamless sync features. A big congrats to the team on the launch!

How does this compare to obsidian?

@jonte I'm the author so of course I'll have some biased opinion. But here are some of my thoughts. OBSIDIAN Pros: - Big community - Extensible architecture with plugins - WYSIWYG (hybrid) markdown editor Cons: - No Web version - No free cross-device sync option (except iCloud Drive which will work only on Apple devices) - Steep learning curve - Often due to limitations in the plugin approach, those added additional features are not well integrated into the app and give a feeling of the unfinished product - The mobile version has a lot of problems, especially with community plugins - Cluttered UI NOTESHUB Pros: - Web version is available alongside native versions - Free cross-device sync with Git/GitHub (Obsidian has a community Git sync plugin but it's a way worse experience from what I read, especially on mobile phones, so not comparable) - Easy to understand - Good defaults - All of the functionally are well integrated with each other - Clean UI Cons: - No WYSIWYG editor - No search (will come in the next release) - May not have all of the functionality you need - The desktop version still feels like Web version

Great. I must test it more, why its not listed on Productivity Directory

Really excited about NotesHub 3.3—it ticks all the boxes for a flexible, robust note-taking solution. The Markdown support alongside Kanban and whiteboarding is a power combo for productivity. Also loving the range of syncing options, from GitHub to iCloud Drive or a personal Git server—that's thinking user-first! I'm curious, with the new whiteboarding tool, are there any collaboration features where multiple users can interact with the board in real-time? Kudos to the team for this release!
