Looking forward to v.4

Pros:

The fact that it keeps growing and adding new locations and data

Cons:

The interface is getting more and more confusing. NomadList 1.0 was the best of all. Much simpler and more intuitive to use.

Thanks Robin! What parts of the interface can I minimize to make it more clean?

Exactly. Peiter stop changing the layout everyday. Just keep it simple as it was in the beginning. The website is lagging probably because of too much javascript. Remove the video from home page it is making the page even more slower. keep the filters at the top as before and maybe add a search filters function because there are a lot of filters now(it's good to have a lot filters but they do not need to be always visible). Just few suggestions because I love the nomadlist(paid member).

@levelsio my account has been suddenly deleted, without telling me what I did to cause that. That's already crazy, but you haven't even refunded me my lifetime membership fees. Please do this, otherwise I'm going to be very upset.

Was one of the first to financially support Pieter Levels with NomadList, helped promote it, and was a contributing member on Slack and in forums.

Got kicked from Slack without any warning or explanation. Customer service is non existent (you chat with a human-robot), and Mr. Levels blocked me from his Twitter when I tried to reach out for help.

I can not recommend a product or company, where the most loyal users are treated like ... or being ignored.

Too bad.

Pros:

It's ok.

Cons:

Poor customer service

Normally a team of 20 create something of this quality.

So for just 1 guy to make this is inspiring.

Pros:

A very useful website.

Cons:

Nope

I'd like the barrier to entry to be a bit lower, as in maybe a monthly price where I pay **each month**. As someone who's trying desperately to find a way to secure a remote gig so I can begin my Nomad journey, I can't easily drop $60 on a product I have no idea of the return value. I'm assuming that there will be folks "on the inside" ready to help me, answer my questions, etc, etc but I don't know yet. How can Nomad List help me get there without this $60 leap?

Pros:

all the info you might want, awesome networking potntial

Cons:

can't get to the really valuable network unless pay $60

Sure I understand. I’ve designed Nomad List so that anyone can use all feature of the site (read-only) without paying. You don’t need to pay for it to be useful. You do need to pay to interact with others (write access). I have no other choice than charge money for these features because it’s a for-profit business, not a charity. A valuable “networking opportunity” will probably be worth more than $60. It could be a $2,000/mo remote job or a $30,000 remote client. YMMV of course. Thanks for the feedback!

It's absolutely insane that this is all built by one incredible person - Pietz is a demigod

Pros:

An enormous amount of comprehensive info for travelers, remote workers and anyone in between. ✨

Cons:

None 👀

I use it to find inspiration about places to go that fits my budget. Scores are a great way to get an overview and hoodmaps is a fun way to see where to stay.

Pros:

Awesome way to get inspiration and information about where to go

Cons:

Can always add more places :)

I've recommended Nomad List to so many people -- it's such an awesome resource! I honestly didn't realize it's created by a single person. Now I'm even more impressed :)

Pros:

Great way to find new destinations and uncover more details about the ones already on your "to travel to (or live)" list.

Cons:

Nothing comes to mind.

These positive reviews are for the free version. The paid membership offers very little and the owner blew me off on Twitter in super-bratty fashion. There’s no way of contacting the admin and no real community to join when you pay money.

Pros:

The free site

Cons:

Paid version has no benefits

Pieter inspired me to become a full time digital nomad. 🙌

Pros:

Great way to find my next place to stay. Got everything I need.

Cons:

Got some serious FOMO for all the places I haven’t visited yet.

I don't recommend Nomad List! I have purchased a lifetime license, which was blocked after my actions were allegedly considered to be spam. I didn't receive any warnings on my e-mail and got a refund on a card which is no longer valid. I have asked a few times to fix that but there was no response! Terrible customer service, non-existent would be a more accurate word to define it.

Nomadlist is a scam and Pieter Levels is a draconian dictator with a huge ego; he will come crashing down on any users if he disagrees with what you're saying or doesn't like your style. No apologies or reasons or accountabilities. Absolutely zero interest in offering any semblance of support with any issue. Completely impossible to reach the dictator, even when he deletes your account without giving any reason. At least give me a refund?! Expect your posts to get deleted randomly and generally pushed around by this otherwise absent control freak. Make sure to read the reviews before you hand over your money. Such a shame because at first I thought it was so cool. But this community is owned by this 1 man and he will make sure you know, especially if he doesn't fancy you.

I've recommend the nomad list as a first step to learn about the digital nomad or what I want to call the Vagabond Lifestyles

Pros:

Great place to connect with other DN around the world.

Cons:

The front page scrolls a lot. It's great for discovery. It's just a lot to take in -- I'm not recommending a change - just warning in case you thought you'd check it out in 5 minutes.

Pros:

Lots of data to spark creative thinking

Cons:

The never-ending choices can be overwhelming.

The website is ok, but the community is a complete woke hell and moderators are absolute trash. If you decide to join and pay for this crap, think very carefully what you say, do not criticize any information, or the resident woke mob will get you banned from the whole site without a refund.

Showed me a bunch of places that I would've never found out on my own! Will be taking my team down there for a month

Pros:

The search UI is just brilliant! Took into consideration all factors that I had

Cons:

The mobile webpage opens up new tabs for multiple functions like chat , hard to evluate a location on the phone

Head of Community @outsiteco

Have used this since day 1. Served as a real source of information and inspiration when getting started. It's now interesting to watch what Levels will do next with it.

Pros:

Excellent way to be introduced to the concept of work and travel, and the community living around the world, working online.

Cons:

Numbers should be taken with a pinch of salt. Your budget changes with your lifestyle.

I use this for all the travel.

Pros:

Best filtered search of locations by techy and other modern criteria
