AFAIK, push notification audio needs to be bundled into the native app and can't be updated server-side. It's too bad because I'd love to create and send my own audio notifications to friends. Great way to creep them out in the middle of the night: "I'm watching youuuuu"
@rrhoover We’ve been looking into that capability, but it’s a limitation of the platform (for now) that notification sounds need to be bundled. That’s why we were so lucky to have an Emmy winner professionally record a killer collection of sounds. There are even a couple of excellent creeper sounds, try out 👀 and 👨!
@bradmahler yea we discovered the same thing when we were making Arnold @rrhoover lol like that your first thought of sending your own notification sound is "I'm watching youuuu"
Rob actually recorded a couple of sounds almost exactly like what @rrhoover is describing. One of them literally went, "I'm watchin ya right nowwww". Those did not make the cut 😳.
I love the app idea, but why is not available in my country?
@mightyalex Sorry about that, it should be available worldwide later today. We'd love to hear any comments from international users, so let us know what you think!
@mightyalex Same here, can't wait to download it later today!
That is one hell of a video. Super entertaining :)
@KristoferTM Thanks Kris, we're glad you enjoyed it@ 😃 I had a lot of fun with this one. And the music is a big help, generously provided by Dyer. https://soundcloud.com/dyermusic
Hey everyone, @marktholking and @bradmahler here. We built our side project Noice because we wanted a simple notification app that delivers its message before the phone even leaves your pocket. We immediately realized, “Hey, we could make each others’ phones fart (💩)”. The app comes with 150 emoji-sound pairs, the best of which were recorded exclusively for Noice by Emmy winner Rob Schrab (The Sarah Silverman Program, Community, Scud: The Disposable Assassin)! We’re around to answer any questions you have about Noice. Check out our promo video:
The Studio Tentpole team strikes again! Looking forward to the comments here, especially @rrhoover's.
@PE_Feeds Thanks, Sumeet! We've so been looking forward to sharing Noice with PH, can't wait to hear the feedback 😃
